Wappapello Outdoor Opportunities for Disabled Sportsman

Come join us in a day of outdoor activities designed for individuals with disabilities. As a team effort we want
to empower the disabled community and their immediate families to enjoy the outdoors and the activities it offers.

Through the efforts of volunteers from the Wheelin’ Sportsmen an outreach of NWTF, Wappapello
Corps of Engineers, Missouri Conservation Department, Independent Living Center of Southeast MO, Mingo Job Corps, Shindigs Catering, Ag Resource Management, New Hope General Baptist Church, and other local sponsors, we hope the adventures and challenges that you will experience will provide knowledge and memories to last a lifetime. The activities and lunch are at no cost to you.

Registration closes September 9, 2019 at 5pm.

If you require assistance you may bring someone with you, but please remember the activities are for qualified applicants only.
If you are under the age of 18 or have a legal guardian you must bring a parent or legal guardian to participate in these events unless you are with a group home. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
If you bring someone to assist you, lunch will be provided to them as well.  
You are responsible for your own transportation.
There will be no unauthorized activities performed during the hours of the WOODS Program.   
This event will be held at Redman Creek Recreation Area at Wappapello Lake. You must stop at the entrance to obtain a name tag for participants, registered family/assistants, and volunteers; this is your meal ticket.    
Fishing license will be waived on this date for the participants only.  
Please bring a hat, sunscreen and any supplies for your own comfort. Water will be supplied on-site. 
Due to safety reasons no power wheelchairs or scooters will be allowed on the pontoons.
If you are going to be fishing and wish to take your catch home please bring your own ice cooler. 
Deadline for registration is September 9, 2019.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.  
All who attend must complete, sign and return a liability/photo/news release form to participate in events.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. If additional liability/photo/news release forms are needed you may make copies.    
Medical staff will be available throughout the day.
There will be no rain out date.
There will be snacks.
